According to a Harvard Business School study, 75% of all start-ups don’t survive their first year. We’re thrilled to not just survive, but thrive for five years now — thanks to the amazing clients we grown together with since we opened our doors in the fall of 2013. We have expanded our focus to include strategy, resource development and coalition building for corporations, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations.
We specialize in several practice areas; healthcare, government, nonprofit, technology, marketing and entertainment. Our partnerships have helped us grow from 10 clients to over 100 and a staff of X in 2013 to XX this year. Our goal is to work with you not as just a vendor, but as a partner who treats your business as if it’s our own.
Some companies grow their teams fast, sometimes too fast. At Banks and Company, we grow smart, adding team members that bring as much value to our clients as they do to us. In support of this goal, we recently added Chief Operating Office Cornell Batie. Cornell is a proven executive specializing in corporate strategy, operations and finance. He was recently awarded “CFO of the Year” by Crain’s Detroit Business, worked in executive positions with Henry Ford Health System and holds an MBA in International Business and Finance.
Banks and Company has also hired Chief Financial Officer Ayanna Smith. She is a results-driven executive focused on enhancing business investments and streamlining financial systems. Ayanna has worked with the Detroit Mosaic Youth Theatre and Rockcastle, where she oversaw all financial matters for the Detroit Jazz Festival. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University.
